I did it! I did it! I really really did it!!!

I'm officially a college student again and I love it! I love knowing that the young punks, er kids, I see on campus have no idea I have three kids, a full daycare, a fat mortgage payment and I drive a blue minivan! I feel so empowered and strong. It took me seven years to get the courage to go back for my RN but I'm here! I'm doing it! As my wise mom said to me, I've taken the first step of a thousand to get to where I want to be. I am to be commended!

It was a wee bit scary walking through the parking lot to my class in the pouring rain and pitch black, but I held my head high and had keys in my hand ready to fight off a wanna-be attacker. I won't hesitate to call campus security if somebody wants to mess with me. NO ONE had better mess with this thirty-five year old momma! I'll kick their you-know-what!
